News - 05/10/11 - Reserve Team Manager's Position
Radcliffe Olympic are pleased to announce that we have today appointed Scott Carlton as new Mens Section Saturday Reserve Team Manager. Until recently, Scott has been the Manager of Welbeck Welfare FC in the Central Midlands League, and has an impressive playing CV including Notts County, Sheffield United and Arnold Town before being cut short by injury.
After a meeting with Scott the club have been impressed with his thoughts about the game and what he will be looking to establish with the Reserve Team.
Scott commented on his appointment: "I am really happy to have joined Radcliffe Olympic. I have been very impressed with the ambition shown both on and off the field by the club and this matches my own. I aim to get young players embedded in the men's section of the club with the thought to get them playing in the First Team. I am looking to build on the recent success that Joe Hegarty has had with the Reserve Team and build on what he has started."
Men's Secretary Michael Bradley commented: "We are delighted to appoint Scott to Reserve Team Manager. After the meeting took place we knew that is the ideal person to help the club progress in the new direction that it is taking with bringing young players through."
